Minutes

  • Matt Short took minutes.
  • Minutes approved from October 22nd Conference Call.

CARLI Annual Meeting Updates

The committee update included a call for Facebook submissions and announced webinars/workshops. Most of the Annual Meeting was Alma-focused.

Social Media Promotion

  • Agreed on a schedule for Facebook editing/poster and Analytics: December (Greer), January (Tricia), February (Marlee), March (Matt), April (Greer), May (Tricia), June (Tricia). There are approximately 40 posts queued for posting, which means that there should be more than enough for posting through June.
  • Greer reported that the institution drop-down menu only on the Facebook submission form has only one option. Matt changed this from a drop-down to a text box. We should be able to infer institution for those submissions lacking this data from the collection name, so there is no need to re-submit.

Copyright Webinar series (December 3, 10, 17)

Amy reported that there were 83 people registered for the first webinar, with 43-45 actually attending. This was encouraging attendance, especially since there was an Alma webinar running in parallel. Sixty-two people are registered for the second webinar, and 43 are registered for the Q&A. Zoom worked much better than AdobeConnect, particularly when it came to screensharing.

Workshop (Late Spring)

Champaign is probably the best location, because it’s central, but parking is a challenge. Tricia suggested using a room in the Psychology building, but it would likely need to be on the weekend or during Spring break. A better option might be a conference room in I-Hotel, where parking is less of a concern. Tricia just needs a screen to plug into and plentiful outlets and wifi for participants, who should bring laptops. She would prefer to cap attendance at 35 participants. The first week of May was suggested as a possible date. Elizabeth and Amy will investigate available space.

Next Meeting

The next committee conference call will occur on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, from 9:00 to 10:00 am.
