Best Practices for the Promotion of Digital Collections:

  • Work has begun on the document.
  • Greer is leading the working group.
  • The document contains main content areas and notes for each, working group members have claimed sections and have begun to write.
  • Working group aims to have a final draft in April and welcomes feedback in the meantime.
    • Questions and comments can be directed to Greer, who will share with the group.

  • Tricia is leading the working group.
  • Working group is planning a panel about digital collections promotion, to be held at the end of April.
  • So far two panelists have agreed to present:
    • Lindsay Harmon from Lewis University and Sata Prescott from Northern Illinois University.
  • If anyone has an idea for a third panelist, contact Tricia and/or the working group.
    • Someone with a digital humanities background or Chicago Collections social media panelists might be possibilities.
  • CARLI will need about six weeks for promotion but can accommodate a shorter time frame.

Both projects will continue to move along, and the working groups will touch base with committee on progress.
