CONFERENCE CALL

CARLI staff present: Amy Maroso, Elizabeth Clarage (CARLI staff liaisons)

2. We did not have a quorum on the conference call, so meeting minutes from the April call will be approved via email.

USE OF CARLI DIGITAL COLLECTIONS SURVEY

Committee members reviewed the draft of the white paper in Google Docs and noted strengths and weaknesses. Alice said she would complete the graphs for the remaining survey questions and add those to the draft. Paul suggested that the “Limitations” section be moved so it comes right after the Introduction and other members agreed. Amy made the change. We also agreed the Conclusions section needs to be fleshed out and more effectively tie together the threads of the survey results. Alice volunteered to work on the conclusion, and Amy provided some specific suggestions of what could be added. Amy said the final draft is due by Friday, May 29, 2015 so she can do any final edits before it gets submitted to the CARLI board. Alice said she would finish work on the draft and email the draft to the committee for approval before Friday.

Committee Final Report

Amy provided a draft of the final report of committee activities for the 2014-15 fiscal year. We did not have any changes or additions to the report. Amy requested that any changes be sent to her before Friday, May 29.

CONTENTDM UPGRADE

The CONTENTdm upgrade is scheduled to take place June 23-28, 2015. A read-only version of the collections will be available during the upgrade. As a precaution, CARLI is asking that CONTENTdm users upload anything in the project client by 5:00pm on June 23, before the upgrade. After the upgrade, there will be some URL changes in Web Administration. Most of the changes in 6.10, however, are on the end-user side in the look and feel of the site.
