CARLI iSchool Career Fair

The School of Information Sciences + CARLI Networking and Career Fair will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2019, 2:30-5:30 p.m. The Career Fair is a result of CARLI’s partnership with the iSchool at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and will be held at the Holiday Inn Conference Center, 101 Trade Center Drive, in Champaign on the day before the CARLI Directors Meeting and the Annual Meeting. If you would like to make overnight accommodations on November 14 please visit Holiday Inn reservations and put in the group code "CFC" to receive a room with one King for $70.00. The deadline for this special rate is October 14.

Career Fair registration is available online and is open to Illinois libraries, museums, archives, and businesses that hire information profession graduates. The Career Fair will be followed immediately by a mixer from 5:30-7:30 p.m., for networking, socializing, and to learn about an initiative to commemorate a special CARLI resource sharing 40^th anniversary. CARLI Governing Members who would like to participate as an employer will not pay a registration fee. 

Our fabulous partners at the iSchool provide an online tool called “Handshake” to assist both employers and job seekers. Employers will be required to use Handshake to register for the fair. Instructions for using the platform are available online.
