In the Fall of 2022, LSUS librarians conducted a research study to determine the information literacy skills and knowledge gaps of incoming first-year students. This study, conducted via survey, explores the knowledge level of first-year students concerning information literacy concepts based upon the Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education, first-year students' motivations for attending college, and first-year students' information literacy self-efficacy.
In this session, Jessica Hawkes, Nicholls State University, will discuss the results of the study, implications of the survey results, and areas for further research.
Register to attend.
