CARLI One-Time Purchase E-Resource Products Now Available
CARLI is very pleased to announce that the selection system now includes products for one-time purchase by CARLI member libraries. To view products and pricing go to http://select.carli.illinois.edu/. You will need your library’s ID and password to access the CARLI selection system. Your IDs and passwords for the FY 09 database selections remain valid. Please contact support@carli.illinois.edu if you need any assistance with your institution’s ID and password.
Pricing for the following products is available in the selection system:
- Sage Deep Backfiles–CARLI initially purchased this product in 2007 and made it available to all levels of CARLI membership. Pricing was determined by a formula which considered institutional size and Carnegie Classification. If you previously acquired this product through the survey form you do not need to select it again. All new commitments should be made through the CARLI selection system.
- Black Thought & Culture–this is a product newly available for purchase through an agreement between CARLI and Alexander Street Press. This product is available to all governing and associate members of CARLI. Pricing was determined based on FTE and level of CARLI membership.
- Historical Statistics of the United States–this is a product newly available for purchase through an agreement between CARLI and Cambridge University Press. This product is available to all governing and associate members of CARLI. Pricing was determined based on FTE and level of CARLI membership.
- Sage E-reference Collection (Sage)–this is a product newly available for purchase through an agreement between CARLI and Sage Publications. This product is available to all governing and associate members of CARLI. Pricing was determined based on FTE and level of CARLI membership. View the list of the titles included in the collection.
- Women and Social Movements–this is a product newly available for purchase through an agreement between CARLI and Alexander Street Press. This product is available to all governing and associate members of CARLI. Pricing was determined based on FTE and level of CARLI membership.
CARLI is offering a 10% discount for libraries that purchase all four products at the same time. The discount will be reflected on your final invoice.
These are one-time purchases and include costs for the annual maintenance fees associated with the products, so no additional costs will be charged in subsequent years.
Invoices will be sent out as commitments are received. If you need to receive your invoice prior to June 30, please send a note to support@carli.illinois.edu with the subject line ‘FY08 Payment for One-Time Purchase.’
If you do not see a price for a product, it is because the vendor has told us that you already have the product. If you have a subscription to a product but you would like to participate in the CARLI purchase this is not a problem but CARLI will not offer credits for your subscription amount. If you need a price for a product that is not shown please send a note to support@carli.illinois.edu.
Unlike the database brokering program, once you have committed to purchase any of these products you cannot subsequently go into the system and delete the selection. Please note that each database selected through the CARLI One Time Purchase Program constitutes a financial commitment by the selecting library to pay all costs associated with the database. It is strongly encouraged that final purchase selections be reviewed and authorized by the appropriate individuals in the selecting library.
This is an open-ended offer and pricing will not change until further notice.
