CARLI Seeking Committee Volunteers

CARLI is seeking volunteers to serve on 11 CARLI working groups, users' groups, and teams.

Volunteers chosen will serve a three year term, July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2011. Faculty and staff members from all CARLI Governing Member libraries, with all levels of experience, are encouraged to apply. Participation in the work of these bodies offers library staff members a unique opportunity to influence the future of the consortium and its service program. CARLI committee work may require time and/or travel expenses. Anyone volunteering to serve on a CARLI committee, users’ group, or team should seek appropriate administrative approval before volunteering to serve.

Only library faculty and staff from I-Share libraries may be selected to serve on I-Share committees.

Current committee members whose term will expire June 30, 2008, and who want to serve another term, should submit a volunteer form.

The following CARLI Working Groups, Users' Groups, and Teams are currently seeking members:

• Collections Working Group
• E-Resources Working Group
• Preservation Working Group
• Public Services Working Group
• Digital Collections Users' Group
• I-Share Users' Group
• I-Share Acquisitions and Serials Team
• I-Share Cataloging and Authority Control Team
• I-Share Instruction Team
• I-Share OPAC Team
• I-Share Resource Sharing Team 

Members of the CARLI library community may volunteer by filling out the committee volunteer form by May 15, 2008. NOTE: In order to ensure that we have current information and expressions of interest, only submissions dated April 3, 2008 or later will be used to make appointments. If you wish to serve on a committee, please fill out the online form, even if you have previously submitted a form.

The Executive Committee of the CARLI Board of Directors will make appointments no later than June 13, 2008.

 All new committee members will officially begin work on July 1, 2008.
