    • CARLI Annual Meeting: Friday, Nov. 4 - planned for in-person (first since 2019)
    • Debbie shared a Firefox article suggestion - continuing lawsuit for the Internet Archive

Decisions

  • We confirmed the Minute Taker Schedule was complete.
  • The theme for the group’s work this year was finalized: Re-examining Library Instruction
  • We discussed previous events put on by the committee to help the group brainstorm. These included: Guest speakers / article reading then discussion / Instruction showcase / Discussion with just questions to start a conversation (without an article reading)
  • The October Event was set (title to be determined)
    • 11 am - 12 pm on Monday 10/24
    • Claire and A
    • lex D. will moderate
    • The theme will revolve around Quiet Quitting and a discussion of sustainable practices for academic librarians
    • There will be no required reading / recommendation list, but the group will brainstorm recommendations and create a crowd-sourced document that folks can contribute to outside of the committee.

  • The November event theme was determined: Re-examining the one-shot
    • The group will review the ACRL Issue about One-Shots and pick an article as the shared reading during our October meeting
  • The December event was tentatively determined as an open discussion space called December Decompress to encourage folks to practice slowing down and reflecting
