CARLI Digitized Book of the Month - May 2016

From:Black Hawk College

Black Hawk College East Wahian (1968)

This photo of BHE graduates is originally from a yearbook, but has now been etched in my head as a nightmare forever. Maybe it's because it sounds like a solicitation at first? "Why attend BHE?" Or maybe it's because "Santa" has joined up with "Satan" to celebrate "Fall activities?" Or maybe it's the cheap K-Mart mask that "Satan" has on that looks like its slowly decaying due to the over exposed photo? Or maybe it's that when I first saw some of the odd photos(there are others) within this book with the same headline(including the cover) I originally thought it might be a catalog for the university? Whatever it is, I'm sure the "Fall activities" were fun, much knowledge was gained and these gentlemen, have long since graduated and might very well be holding a meeting next to your house.
