University Librarian - Open Rank - OER & Electronic Resources Librarian - Governors State University

The successful candidate will be a key partner with the Department Chair and Dean in strategizing new OER efforts on campus. They will also interface regularly with the four academic colleges' leadership, as well as the IT Department leadership.

The successful candidate will work closely with the leadership and faculty in the four colleges and Graduate Studies leadership to expand and develop OER processes and materials, and a thorough examination of the current Electronic Resources as to current needs and possible replacements, or expansion of offerings. They will also create training modules in research and writing to support skill development in these areas and will teach from these modules as needed.

A new library building is currently the number one priority in the recently approved facilities Master Plan for the University. In the meantime, the successful candidate will assist in our plans to develop a separate libraries for Business, Education, and Health and Human Service within the current physical layout of the library, emphasizing access to electronic resources.

This is a tenure-track position, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to serve on various faculty committees across the campus.
