Cataloging Delay There is a delay before newly cataloged items show in your local catalog, and in the I-Share union catalog.

New VuFind makes titles searchable in your library's local catalog if they were in Voyager as of 10:20PM yesterday. The very newest records cannot be searched in New VuFind.

Titles cataloged before 9:00PM yesterday will usually also be visible in the I-Share union catalog the next day as well; however, if there is a large amount of newly-added items in a single day, a portion of the load may be postponed until the following day.

Due to the union catalog load cutoff time occurring before the local catalog load cutoff time, an item cataloged between 9PM and 10:20PM may be visible in your local catalog a day before it is visible in the I-Share union catalog.

There is a delay before newly cataloged items show in your local catalog, and in the I-Share union catalog.

VuFind 0.6 makes titles searchable in your library's local catalog if they were in Voyager as of 6:45PM yesterday. The very newest records cannot be searched in VuFind.

Items are visible in your library's local WebVoyage catalog as soon as they are cataloged.
I-Share union catalog New VuFind utilizes the eXtensible Catalog's Metadata Services Toolkit (XC-MST) MARC Aggregation Service to create the deduplicated I-Share union catalog.  This has several implications:
  • record identification numbers are different from VuFind 0.6
  • record identification numbers are not persistent
  • deduplication and aggregation mechanisms are more flexible and are not susceptible to discarding incoming records when there are multiple matches
  • will not aggregate records on any number of 020 or 024 fields alone, which should help to cut down on the improper overlays of print version records by electronic version records
VuFind 0.6 uses the Voyager Universal Catalog software to create the I-Share union catalog.

Record identification numbers are different from New VuFind.

No I-Share union catalog view is available.
