Kishwaukee College Library Services has four grant-funded, part-time positions currently posted. Please share broadly with anyone who may be interested in an on-campus job near DeKalb. Librarian - Digital Services - Part-Time (28 hours per week, July - December 2021): https://kish.peopleadmin.com/postings/2342

The Digital Services Librarian participates in a collaborative redesign project for library web content, enhances library online support services, and develops faculty support materials to increase OER implementation.

Required qualifications: Master's degree in Library and Information Science, OR Bachelor's degree plus Library Technical Assistant certificate. Effective organizational and communication skills required. Proficient computer and software application skills required, especially Microsoft Office, LibGuides, library services platform, Google Suite, online conferencing, learning management system, and Adobe.
Preferred qualifications: 1-3 years' experience in academic libraries preferred. Website maintenance, tutorial creation, and video editing skills preferred.

$25 per hour

Library Assistant - Part-Time (28 hours per week, July - December 2021): https://kish.peopleadmin.com/postings/2341

The Library Assistant provides service for Circulation Desk functions, monitors the learning environment, maintains order and security of the collection, assists with interlibrary loan services, promotes library resources and services, and provides clerical support for Library Services.

Required qualifications: Associate's degree or equivalent hours (60+). 1-3 years' experience in customer service.
Preferred qualifications: Library experience preferred. 

$15 per hour

The Library Technologist provides student technology assistance and creates tutorial materials to facilitate technology access. The Technologist maintains, troubleshoots, and monitors usage of library electronic resources, web content, and social media.

Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree, or a Library Technical Assistant certificate, or at least an Associate's degree in a computer field. 1-3 years' experience in customer service required. Proficient computer and software application skills required, especially Microsoft Office, LibGuides, library services platform, Google Suite, online conferencing, learning management system, and Adobe.

Perkins Support Services Specialist - Part-Time (20 hours per week, July - June 2022): https://kish.peopleadmin.com/postings/2298

The Perkins Support Services Specialist assists with processes for student financial assistance through Perkins, textbook and equipment loan, library services, and referrals to College resources.
Required qualifications: Associate's degree or equivalent hours (60+). 1-3 years' experience in customer service.
Preferred qualifications: Library experience preferred. Bi-lingual Spanish preferred.
