Evening Circulation Coordinator - Dominican University

Responsible for planning, supervision, and coordination of all activities having to do with circulation, collection maintenance, resource sharing, and related services.

JOB COMPONENTS//PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Coordinates circulation, resource sharing, and collection maintenance services.
  2. In consultation with the Access Services Librarian, hires, schedules, trains, supervises, and evaluates library student employees and graduate reference assistants.
  3. Participates in the library display and programming team.
  4. Works together with the library staff to provide excellent customer service.
  5. Gathers and interprets statistics.
  6. Ability to communicate effectively with resource sharing partners, interpret ILL and circulation standards, policies, guidelines, and abide by the ALA core values. 
  7. Performs other duties as requested, delegated, or assigned.

EDUCATION

An undergraduate degree or commensurate experience.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Library, circulation, or customer service experience; Office 365, Alma, Springshare.
