Billing & Generalist Coordinator - Bradley University

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Work assigned shifts at Turnstile and Checkout Desks including regular participation in assigned Sunday staffing rotation; charge, discharge, and renew items; oversee daily fines and fees in Alma Integrated Library System software; send print notices; prepare and send formal invoices to patrons with book replacement fees or large overdue charges; maintain associated records; accept fines and fees payments; clear or update patron accounts; place grade holds on students with large outstanding fines or fees; coordinate with Registrar’s Office on graduating seniors with delinquent accounts; provide billing reciprocity services for I-Share consortium member libraries; ensure quality customer service; assist in the coordination of work of student employees as needed; respond to requests for information and assistance; handle patron problems; attend unit and department meetings, training sessions, and workshops; perform other related duties as assigned. In order to meet the needs of the University, the University retains the right to assign duties and requirements to employees as well as determine and change starting times, quitting times, and shifts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Two years library or related office experience that demonstrates: Knowledge of library procedures and office equipment; ability to work independently; exhibit sound/accurate judgment; work with sensitive information and records; effectively communicate in written, telephone, and personal communications; show respect and sensitivity for cultural differences; demonstrate computer literacy; possess experience in Windows-based applications and library systems such as Alma; exhibit good organizational and math computational skills, as well as the ability to handle details and multi-step processes; demonstrate positive work ethic and integrity. Prior experience with billing and invoices preferred. Ability to participate regularly in assigned Sunday staffing rotation.

Employment with Bradley University is contingent up on the satisfactory completion of a criminal background check.

MENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Selected candidate must have the mental and physical capabilities to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Work is performed in a normal office environment with little exposure to outdoor temperatures or dirt and dust. Working conditions are typically moderately quiet.

Pay Rate $12.00 per hour
