What is the advantage of doing this consortially?

They offer special discounts to consortia. Since the topic covered is computer science, journal literature is the single most important source of information. Access to research in this area will bolster research across the state. Further, I'd be surprised if no other CARLI libraries are subscribing to this and it would be a great benefit to the state and the consortium for us to be able to consolidate our purchasing power. I am not asking that CARLI subsidize this, but that CARLI negotiate a group agreement.
