IUAG’s statement on I-Share local policies

ILCSO Users Advisory Group (IUAG) has recently discussed questions about some local policies, such as I-Share libraries that do not refund replacement charges for lost items returned. The creation of CARLI and the impending upgrades to the Voyager system give CARLI an opportunity to review the I-Share Online Library Resource Sharing Code (http://office.ilcso.illinois.edu/About/ResourceSharing.html). IUAG recommends that the CARLI Board convene a group to assess the current code and current practices, and to make suggestions for modifying the code to be consistent with current terminology and best practices.
