Public Services Working Group Spring 2010 Open Houses

When the spring semester arrives, do you find you're in the mood to get out, to see new sights, to explore a different terrain? The CARLI Public Services Working Group (PSWG) invites you to come along for the ride as we visit two CARLI libraries: Eureka College's Melick Library on Thursday, March 11th, and Southern Illinois University Carbondale's Morris Library on Friday, April 9th. These visits will go well beyond simple tours of the host libraries. They are designed to encourage dialogue about public services practices, problems, and ideas.
As an attendee from last year's PSWG open houses said: "This level of sharing is needed but not always possible at larger or more formal meetings." You'll have ample opportunities to network with your peers, learn about the host libraries' public services practices, and share experiences from your home library. Lunch will be provided.

Travel into Carbondale via Rte. 13. Turn onto Poplar Street (just past Memorial Hospital of Carbondale if you are heading west) and travel south until you reach the intersection of Mill Street and Poplar Street. Go straight through the four way intersection and then make an immediate right onto Lincoln Drive once you enter the campus grounds.
Parking Information: LOT 1 – Continue on Lincoln Drive until you see Rehn Hall on your left.
Parking Lot 1 is on your left in front of Rehn Hall. OR - Continue on Lincoln Drive until you see the Life Science III building to your left (you will see a metal sculpture in front of this building). - Take a left into the parking lot immediately south of Life Science III—lot 39 (which is opposite from Communications Drive).
Lost? Call 618-453-2522 (Administrative Office Main Number).
PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN HANDICAPPED SPACES (Unless you have a decal) OR SERVICE SPOTS. DO NOT BACK INTO SPACES.
If you are driving a state/university vehicle, you do not need a parking permit. Other registrants will be mailed a parking permit prior to the event.
