Online Tutorial Creation Workshops
The I-Share Instruction Team is pleased to offer hands-on Online Tutorial Creation Workshops. These workshops are designed for librarians with limited time and resources for creating online tutorials. Attendees will learn the best practices of online tutorial creation, view and discuss example tutorials, learn about the free screencasting program Wink, workshop an individualized tutorial script, and practice screencasting with one-on-one assistance from members of the Instruction Team. A limited number of headset microphones will be available for participants wishing to practice recording audio. If attendees have their own headset microphones and USB flash drives, they are encouraged to bring them along to the workshop. Locations and Dates: Friday, June 5, 2009 at the CARLI Office in Champaign, IL Friday, June 12, 2009 at Columbia College Chicago Library The content of the two sessions will be identical; register for one session only. Time: Both workshops will run from 9:30am to 3:30pm. Additional Information: Each workshop is limited to 15 participants each to ensure ample hands-on time and will be limited initially to one person per institution. Attendees should submit an online tutorial topic (that they would like to work on during the session) below when registering for a session to assist workshop facilitators with planning.
