IACQ/ICAT Technical Services Workflow Mini-Forum
The I-Share Acquisitions/Serials and Cataloging Teams (IACQ/ICAT) are sponsoring a series of regional half-day "mini-forums" throughout the state to "continue the conversation" after September's Technical Service Workflow Analysis Seminar. These mini-forums will provide those who attended the seminar and other interested parties an opportunity to discuss workflow issues with your colleagues in an informal setting. There will be breakout sessions by various technical services areas, as well as by size of library. It is expected that participants will choose one mini-forum to attend. Please note that apart from a brief "icebreaker" opening session, there will be NO formal presentations -- these mini-forums are devoted to providing library staff plenty of opportunities for discussion, so the day's success depends entirely on everyone's participation. Come prepared to talk about your questions, concerns, success stories, and stories of those "things that could have gone better" so everyone can learn from each other's experiences. To help foster discussion, a list of "issues you might want to think about" will be e-mailed to registrants approximately a week before the date of their forum. If you attended the fall Workflows seminar, you may also wish to review the handouts provided by R2 Consulting. Mini-forum structure: (please note: all times are 1/2 hour earlier at Illinois Wesleyan)
Locations and Dates: March 18, 2009 March 19, 2009 Deadline for Registering: Please direct any questions about the workshop to support@ carli.illinois.edu |
