CARLI Preservation Workshop: Simple Repairs for Circulating Book Collections: A Hands-on Workshop

Registration: Required. Open now until class is full to any CARLI library staff on a first come-first served basis. The registration deadline is April 23 for the April 25 workshop and April 27 for the May 1 workshop. CARLI reserves the right to cancel this event if under enrolled.

Fees: This workshop is $30.00 to individuals from a CARLI member library. Travel costs and any parking fees are the responsibility of the attendee. Cancellations will be honored until the registration deadline for each workshop, after this date the full registration fee will be due.
You will be sent an invoice for this workshop at the address you indicate on the registration form.

Registration for non-CARLI members will be accepted one week prior to the registration deadlines (April 16 for the April 25 workshop; April 20 for the May 1 workshop). The registration fee for non-CARLI members is $60. Travel costs and any parking fees are the responsibility of the attendee.

Intended audience: Any staff in CARLI member libraries who would like to learn how to perform simple, quick repairs that do not require much space or equipment on circulating book collections.

Session description: This workshop will include hands-on work on how to perform simple, quick repairs that do not require much space or equipment on circulating book collections. This repairs covered in this workshop are NOT appropriate for special collections materials. Leaders of this workshop will be preservation staff from Illinois State University and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
