Understanding and Using MFHD's Workshop
presented by Jessica Gibson, CARLI Office This class is designed to familiarize you with why using the MFHD (MARC Format for Holdings Data) standard is important, and provide detailed explanations of MFHD fixed and variable fields, textual and itemized holdings displays, and MFHD templates. By the end of this one-day session, participants should be able to make informed decisions about how to use MFHDs in their own library’s Voyager environment. Voyager holdings records and OPAC displays will be shown throughout the workshop; participants will test their own understanding of topics with detailed written exercises. |
