Communications

CARLI offers several means of communication to interested members of the library community. Create an RSS feed from the CARLI news section to receive the latest postings, join the listserv for your interest group, or receive the monthly CARLI newsletter to get the most current information about CARLI products, services and events.

CARLI News

Upcoming events, deadlines, new products and projects are announced on the News section of the CARLI web site . Member products pages also include links to news items specific to particular groups within the membership. The CARLI news section features RSS feeds to alert subscribers to new postings.

E-Mail Lists

CARLI maintains an extensive selection of email lists for committees and interest groups. Visit the email lists page to read a description and subscribe to any of CARLI’s open lists. In addition, committee and working group members may be subscribed to closed listservs established to enhance communication between members.

CARLI Library Job Announcements

The CARLI Jobs page provides a place to view and post job announcements for open positions available at any CARLI member institution. Subscribe to the Jobs RSS feed to receive a notification when new jobs are posted to the page.

CARLI libraries wishing to post job announcements should email the posting, and the date that it should expire, to support@carli.illinois.edu with the subject line: Jobs.

CARLI Blog

The CARLI blog offers another venue to announces upcoming events, share tips and information, discuss new and ongoing projects, and promote awareness of the groups activities among the CARLI community. CARLI bloggers include staff, Board members, committee chairs, and other designated bloggers for CARLI committees. The blog features RSS feeds to alert subscribers to new postings.

CARLI Wiki

The CARLI wiki is available for the ongoing work of the committees and the membership. The wiki is open to any member of the CARLI community and users may create an account from the wiki home page. Committees are encouraged to carry out their ongoing work on the wiki to facilitate the exchange of information across various interest groups.

Find us on Facebook at the Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Illinois. New items posted to the CARLI blog are also posted to the CARLI Facebook page.

RSS Feeds

Receive updates from the CARLI website via RSS feed. Feeds are available from the for CARLI News, when new events are added to the CARLI Calendar, and from the Library Job Announcements page. These feeds allow you to keep up with some new features on the CARLI web site through Google Reader or your favorite RSS aggregator.

CARLI Newsletter

The newsletter provides a regular overview of CARLI events, new and ongoing projects, product and service updates and upcoming deadlines. Issues are sent to all subscribers of the “Announce” listserv. Current and past issues of the newsletter are available below.
