LibGuides is a web 2.0 information management and knowledge sharing system. It enables libraries to connect with patrons and share information online. LibGuides helps librarians post useful research information, share knowledge, and promote library resources to the community. It is fully integrated with Facebook, and LibGuides widgets distribute library content on social networks, blogs, and courseware systems. LibGuides connects you with patrons, wherever they are. Any type of content (including web 2.0 media) can be embedded into LibGuides. The LibGuides can be subject guides, information portals, class guides, community guides, instruction guides, research tips, how-to help,... or any type of useful content and information libraries wish to share with users (see examples). The possibilities are endless. Create Guides in your subject specialty, marketing your knowledge as an information specialist. As a starting point for exploring library content, LibGuides leads to an increased use of your library content.
