Library Access to E-Resources License Agreements
E-resource contacts can now access current license agreements for the products your library subscribes to through CARLI by logging into the selection system. Users will be prompted for their user name and password. Once logged in users will be able to see the following information for the two most recent selection cycles as well as the one-time purchases your institution has made through CARLI:
- Database name
- Vendor providing access
- Cost
- Any special comments
Each product listed is a hyperlink to the current license agreement. These agreements have been redacted to remove all confidential information, such as participants and pricing. The license agreements include the period of performance, terms of use and archival access information.

CARLI to Purchase Springer Medicine eBook Collection

CARLI is pleased to announce the purchase of the Springer Medicine eBook Collection for all Governing and Associate members. Access to the collection will begin in January 2010. The Springer Medicine Collection will replace the Mary Ann Liebert journals when subsidized access to those journals ends in December 2009. The purchase of the Medicine collection was recommended by the CARLI Health Sciences Advisory Group, which was charged with reviewing products to replace the Liebert journals.
The Medicine Collection includes all English/International titles published by Springer from 2005 through 2010. The collection currently includes more than 1,300 titles with an additional 325 titles anticipated for inclusion in 2010. The full list of titles in the Medicine Collection, as well as other Springer eBook collections is available on the Springer web site.

Additional EBSCO Databases Available to CARLI Members

As announced in March, CARLI is continuing our contractual relationship with EBSCO Publishing to provide full-text journals for the benefit of students and faculty at all CARLI member institutions. As of July 1, 2009, in addition to EBSCO Publishing's Academic Search Premier and Business Source Elite, all CARLI Basic, Associate, and Governing member institutions have fully subsidized access to the following EBSCO databases:

- Health Source: Consumer Edition
- Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition

CARLI One-Time Purchase E-Resource Products Now Available
CARLI is very pleased to announce that the selection system now includes products for one-time purchase by CARLI member libraries. To view products and pricing go to http://select.carli.illinois.edu/. You will need your library’s ID and password to access the CARLI selection system. Your IDs and passwords for the FY 09 database selections remain valid. Please contact support@carli.illinois.edu if you need any assistance with your institution’s ID and password.

CARLI Announces Extension of the Spring 2006 Database Brokering Period to May 12, 2006
In response to member requests and in order to finalize some contractual issues with database providers, CARLI is extending the closing date of the current database selection period from Friday April 28, 2006 until Friday, May 12, 2006.
