Training and Online Help
CARLI CONTENTdm Training
- CARLI staff offer training sessions for CARLI libraries implementing CONTENTdm for the first time. Advanced CONTENTdm training is under development.
- The example files used during the CARLI CONTENTdm training session are available for download if you wish to review the exercises covered in your training workbook. Simply Extract the files using WinZip or similar utility. The file structure used during the training will appear with the extracted files (44mb).
CONTENTdm User Support Center
- Contains Tutorials and Online Help. Contact the CARLI Office for information on registering for access to the CONTENTdm User Support Center.
- OCLC sometimes offers web-based overviews on using CONTENTdm and posts archived web-based training sessions using Microsoft LiveMeeting on the Training page of their USC website. Please remember that these sessions are not sponsored by CARLI. They are given by OCLC for all users of CONTENTdm, and, therefore, some of the information contained in the session does not apply to our consortial environment (such as procedures for publishing a collection, creating users and collections, and server administration). Should you have any questions on how our consortial use of CONTENTdm differs from the methods shown in the OCLC Web session, please review the CARLI-specific Information posted above.
