This note is to share the latest information about CARLI’s planned upgrade to Voyager 7.1. Over the weekend CARLI staff upgraded I-Share libraries’ alternate training databases from Voyager version 7.1 Beta to version 7.1 “Gold Release.” This is the software version to which we will upgrade our production databases, beginning at 3AM on Sunday, June 14.

CARLI urges you to become familiar with the new features in Voyager version 7 by connecting to and using the newly upgraded alternate training databases. The Voyager Upgrade page at http://www.carli.illinois.edu/mem-prod/I-Share/upgrade.html includes information on how to connect to your library’s alternate training databases via version 7.1 staff clients (downloadable now) and to the alternate training databases’ public interface, the new WebVoyage.

Also on the Voyager Upgrade page at http://www.carli.illinois.edu/mem-prod/I-Share/upgrade.html are links to the registration pages for a series of webinars CARLI is presenting on the changes coming with version 7.1 to Cataloging and Acquisitions, Circulation and Universal Borrowing, and the OPAC. Registration for some of the sessions is still open. If you have not already registered for webinar(s) in your area(s) of interest, please consider doing so today.
