For the Voyager upgrade to version 7.1, CARLI staff have tested representative shared macros that affect each type of record (bib, MFHD, item, patron). It appears that there are no changes in Voyager 7.1 that require any major updates to existing shared macros. However, if library staff notice any problems running existing shared macros after the Voyager 7.1 upgrade, please report these problems to CARLI support as soon as possible.

NOTE: Existing macros that work with bibliographic records have had a revision to the required cataloging client preference remarks. Users running macros after the upgrade that edit bib records will need to set their cataloging client Options/Preferences/Validation tab to bypass both the new ISBN and ISSN validation options, in addition to bypassing the other validation settings.

Existing bib record macros will continue to work under Voyager 7.1, if staff disable all options on the Validation tab in the cataloging client preferences. Staff may wish to download the revised bib record shared macros as a reminder about these preference settings, but that is not a required task.
