WebVoyage

CARLI intends to upgrade Voyager to version 6.5.3 in January 2008. We do not anticipate any WebVoyage-related tasks for customizers (beyond routine testing) as a result of this upgrade. Ex Libris made only a few very minor changes to WebVoyage configuration files between release 6.1 and release 6.5.3. CARLI staff will make these changes on libraries' behalf, and we don't expect anyone to notice any difference. Neither CARLI nor the OPAC Team plans to use the occasion of the upgrade to introduce any local changes. In other words: no big re-customization effort required from customizers for the 6.5.3 upgrade!

Shared Macros

For the Voyager upgrade to version 6.5.3 in January 2008, CARLI staff have tested representative macros that affect each type of record (bib, MFHD, item, patron). It appears that there are no changes in Voyager 6.5.3 (from Voyager 6.1) that require any updates to existing Shared Macros. However, if library staff notice any problems running existing Shared Macros after the Voyager 6.5.3 upgrade, please report these problems to CARLI support as soon as possible.
