CARLI Office

The application process for this event is now closed.

CARLI is pleased to announce that the application process for the Digital Preservation Trainers Program is now open. Selected applicants will attend digital preservation training from July 9 through July 12, 2013, in Champaign. This program, sponsored by the CARLI Digital Collections Users' Group and Preservation Working Group, is designed to advance the understanding of digital preservation problems and solutions.

The initial training will involve 18 librarians or staff from CARLI member libraries. The trainees will participate in a 3.5-day digital preservation Train-the-Trainer workshop developed and taught by the Library of Congress Digital Preservation Outreach and Education (DPOE) office.

After successful completion of the workshop, the 18 CARLI Digital Preservation Trainers will be required to share their knowledge of digital preservation with other CARLI libraries via CARLI-coordinated programs, online and/or in-person, within the next academic calendar year.
