Volunteering to Serve on CARLI
Committees
CARLI uses advisory committees, working groups, teams, and task forces to assist in providing resources and services that the meet the informational, instructional and research needs of students, faculty and staff throughout higher education. To function effectively, CARLI committees need broad based and active participation from member institutions of all sizes and types. Service on CARLI committees affords individuals a unique opportunity to influence the future of the consortium and its services. To volunteer to serve on a CARLI committee, working group, or team, please complete the form below by April 30, 2011. CARLI is making every effort to conduct the majority of committee business via web conferencing technologies and conference calls. However, committee service may require time and/or travel expenses for one or more in person meetings each year. Anyone volunteering to serve on a CARLI committee, users' group, or team should seek appropriate administrative approval before volunteering. Only library faculty and staff from I-Share participants may be selected to serve on I-Share committees. The form below indicates which CARLI committees are currently seeking members. CARLI is always accepting volunteer nominations, even when there are no current committee vacancies. NOTE: In order to ensure that we have current information and expressions of interest, the volunteer database is cleared at the beginning of the annual nomination cycle in March. Only submissions dated February 28, 2011 or later will be used to make appointments for terms beginning July 1, 2011. If you wish to serve on a committee, please fill out the online form, even if you have previously submitted a form.
