Collections Working Group
Scope of work:
The SSCTF Task Force shall investigate various collaborative options related to print and electronic serials collections across the state. Among other ideas, these options may include mechanisms for last subscription retention, last copy retention and electronic archiving. Task Force recommendations for new CARLI products or services shall be made to the CARLI Product and Services Vetting Committee.
Member appointment and terms:
Task Force members will be appointed in July 2006. In the case of vacancies prior to the discharge of the SSCTF, the CARLI Executive Committee may appoint new task force members.
Timeline:
The Task Force shall complete its work by June 2007.
Staff or Board liaisons:
One CARLI Office staff representative will serve as the liaison to SSCTF.
Tasks required on completion of work:
The SSCTF chair will submit a written report of the group’s activities to the CARLI Board by June 2007. Recommendations for new or enhanced CARLI products, services and programs that require central funding or subsidization should be sent to the CARLI Products and Services Vetting Committee or the CARLI Program Planning Committee.
