Scope of work:
The Personnel Committee provides the CARLI Board of Directors with recommendations and input into the recruitment, compensation, and evaluation of performance of the Assistant Vice-President/Executive Director of CARLI. The Board, in turn, provides its recommendations to the University of Illinois. The Committee may also provide the Board with recommendations and input into any other personnel matters that require its attention.
Member appointment and terms:
Per the CARLI Bylaws, the CARLI Board of Directors’ Vice Chair/Chair-Elect serves as Chair of the Personnel Committee and four other CARLI Board members compose the remainder of the roster: one from public institutions, one from private institutions, one from community colleges, and one at large. The committee is reappointed annually by the CARLI Board.
Expected reporting frequency:
Annually to the Board and the University of Illinois Associate Vice President for Planning and Budgeting.
