Old Business

• At our July meeting and through email, we discussed the customization of notices to include a better description of which library to contact with renewals and questions. In summation of that discussion, Susie will send out a sample customized notice which will include contact information for the library (email & phone) plus a link to direct the user to the “My Account”. Notice customization will be included as a topic at our Fall Forum.

CARLI Report (Mel and Lorna)

• WebVoyage will be reverting back to version 6.5.3 Classic on August 14^th at 3am with no down-time expected. This will mean that links need to be updated for SFX, any search boxes created for the new version, links to course reserves, or external links bringing patrons to the catalog. Version 7.0 of WebVoyage was not letting go of sessions, causing the system to bog down.
• Partially as a result, CARLI is not entertaining the addition of new library applicants to I-Share for the upcoming year.
• There is a Macro Express Workshop planned for September 15^th. See the CARLI calendar for more details.

IUG Report (Mary)

• IUG met on July 20^th, and at the time no teams had met except for the OPAC.
• Upcoming events for the year include a copyright forum, reports forum, and liaison forum.
• A Usability taskforce and CAT-ER team are being formed.
• The Resource Code Sharing Taskforce will begin meeting again in September, and they will first discuss CIRC Job 43.
• All teams should continue to consider the future ILS.
• IUG will be checking in with all teams during the Fall. Our date will be November 20^th, and IUG will provide a list of thinking points beforehand.

Fall Forum

• The site is finalized for Governor’s State University on Thursday, October 15^th.
• For the morning session, discussion topics are grouped into “Patron Record Management”, “Customizations”, “Best Practices”, and “CARLI Service Procedures.” All sessions will be held as a lecture, with no breakouts. In the afternoon, the discussion will be on the future of the ILS. The participants will be divided into groups for discussion.
• By next month’s meeting, presenters should have an idea of the length and content they will include in their portion of the forum.

• Members were assigned to present the Forum presentations or assigned to seek suitable presenters by the next meeting date. Blocking/Unblocking Patrons (Susie & Candace), Callslip Processing (Peggy Glatthaar), Customizing Notices (Mel), Customizing Ini Files (Debbie), Patron Record Management (Marilyn), and Future of the ILS (Mel and Lorna). Dallas is the “master of ceremonies.”

Proposal from Instruction Team

• In June, the Instruction Team held a series of successful Online Tutorial Creation Workshops.
• They are interested in teaching our team how to create online tutorials using Wink, so that we can learn to create tutorials for our users, and also teach others how to create tutorials. This instruction will be some time in spring.
