I-Share Resource Sharing Team Meeting Minutes

Decisions:
- Reviewed the Resource Sharing Team charge and all agreed it is still accurate.
- The group agreed that in lieu of the cancelled Fall Forum, we will have 1 or 2 teleconferences on “Library Services for Distance Education” in early December. Dallas will review replies he received from an initial query on the listserv. Several group members will pursue identifying and contacting individuals with experience in this topic. The details of the teleconference will be determined at the next meeting.
Announcements:
- Mel attended the NISO conference. There were many sessions on collaborative resource sharing and she will send information to the group. Could generate new ideas for the team to pursue.
- CARLI office is finalizing documentation for committees.
- The Annual CARLI meeting is this Friday, October 24, 2008.
- Numerous activities on the CARLI calendar – encourage all to check out what’s happening and attend if interested.
- IUG has met with the I-Share Instruction Team and will meet with Resource Sharing Team on Oct 31. All team members are invited to attend either in person or via conference call. RSVP to Mel, Lorna or Dallas if you plan to attend. IUG will use information gleaned from this meeting (and meetings with other teams) to help evaluate their own charge.
