  • Joint IACQ/ICAT Forum on Technical Services Workflow Analysis is planned for September 10, 2008 at Hilton Garden Inn, Champaign.
  • Voyager 7 offers many improvements for ACQ module; a spring forum to get ready for summer upgrade is possible.
  • Quarterly conference call-ins continue in Oct, Dec, Mar and June
• Cataloging and Authority Control Team, reported by Stephen Smith
  • New chair is Cason Snow; conference calls planned monthly
  • Discussed ‘revised charge’ for IUG
  • Forum on September 10  with Acq/Ser Team

CARLI Office report, reported by Lorna Engels

• Approx. 22 libraries interested in VUFind, even though it is still in development; Paige is starting an FAQ page about VUFind. Preliminary tests from Eastern indicate students love it, but still in Beta stage.
  
• CARLI will offer training on Voyager clients this fall (cataloging, serials, acquisition, etc)
  
• CARLI Liaison Group is working on committee guidelines,  including scheduling (example: forums)

Agenda Discussion:

• Review of Charge and Discussion of future direction; hope to have reviewed by CARLI Board meeting in Dec. Would include overview of all teams that report to IUG
  
• Ad Hoc Statistics Task Force call sent out and has had volunteer response
  
• Spring Copyright Forum has been submitted to Program Planning committee, waiting for funding. Planned for March 20, 2009 at UIC, limited to about 100 participants
  Liaison Forum or Reports Forum tabled to discuss closer to Voyager 7.0 upgrade

• Invitation to Instruction Team to September meeting to discuss their charge
