CARLI Board Report- VUFind will soon be available for all libraries who do not include social security numbers as part of their patron records; CARLI recommends using both interfaces (VUFind and WEB Voyage) at first
- Continued cooperative examination of the eXtensible catalog with University of Rochester
- New Board has met; meetings will now be quarterly
- A reorganization of the servers-- causing many of the outages this summer – increasing ability of troubleshooters to pinpoint troubles

- Planning for Fall Forum Oct. 29 Millikin will address e-reserves, privacy and confidentiality

- Keith will be the new liaison—has not met yet
CARLI Office report:- Voyager 7 upgrade will be technically difficult for CARLI staff; at earliest next summer (2009)
- Upcoming announcement about Wilson Select Plus and PerAbs databases pricing with an overlap study is being done, comparing to Ebschost databases
- New CARLI team called Staff Liaison Group, which is working to streamline procedures for staff working with CARLI committees
- Thank you notes for speakers and committee members will now come directly from CARLI
- Teams and Working Groups are requested to hold only one forum per year, with the possibility of getting an assigned ‘window’ to streamline scheduling
Agenda Discussion:Sarah is now Chair Elect
Carol volunteered to be Secretary Judy Anderson of Sauk Valley Community College will not be able to be on the committee. We have two vacancies (both community college members)
IUG charge will be reviewed and revised in committee. Suggestions for direction include long range examination of ILS and changes in the how catalog vendors market products, directions for open source products, what constitutes a healthy system. Other directions for IUG committee will also be examined, such as functions of communications conduit and identifying experts to lead forums. Other Teams will be invited to examine their charges by calling into IUG meetings.
Statistics Task Force - Call for volunteers to be sent out (5 members plus CARLI staff)
