Decisions
- Minutes from September approved.
- Next meeting November 30, 2007 CARLI office with conference call option
- Create “Small Libraries” listserv to allow discussion forum for small libraries
- Larissa will help seed some early discussion points and will contact originator of small library concerns for more discussion ideas
- Each team liaison will discuss with team to determine interest
- Obtain data from Resource Sharing forum responses to inform recommendation to Program Planning Committee regarding a copyright workshop.
CARLI Board Report: (Kristine Hammerstrand)
- Cindy Clennons announced as the new Director of CARLI Electronic Resources
- Momentum on CARLI office move is down pending other ongoing projects
- UIUC IT department audited CARLI libraries and insists no more SSNs in patron records, therefore it is now CARLI policy – see minutes on webs

- Katrina Little announced as the new CARLI billing staff member
- Very busy with forums this month
- The Collection Enhancement Awards Group is having a meeting – register by November 6
- Electronic Resources Subscription Cycle open 10/23 – 11/19
- Delivery system moving forward
- 172 libraries now signed up
- Demo of web system for CARLI staff 10/25 afternoon
- Lanter visiting libraries beginning 2nd week of November
- Robert Mercer (ExLibris president) visited with Susan Singleton and Kris Hammerstrand 10/25 morning
- Contract renewal meeting for WebFeat November 16, 2007

- Fall forum planning (Cataloging Matters: Looking Forward)
- Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007 at UIS
- Topics include 1) possible new front-ends to the I-Share integrated library system; 2) new developments related to I-Share cataloging workflows; 3) an introduction to Strawn's location changer software; and 4) issues in name/title and series authority control
- Editing duties assigned for updating the MARC tag tables
- Completed revisions for the Suppress/Replace Routine Changes documentation
- 2nd call for DCUG data standards volunteers

Suggestion from an individual at an I-Share member library to hold a Small Libraries Forum
- Some question about interest level/need
- Try listserv, blog, wiki options
- Does IUG need to be facilitator, include this as another area in forums, have opening session panel with representatives from all size groups, then afternoon discussions
- Consider adding Small Libraries as an Interest Group
- Possibly add to forums FY 08-09
