Decisions:
- January 14th minutes were approved
- Save the Date for April 2nd Forum approved
- Meeting was adjourned at 10:38 a.m.
Announcements:
- CARLI Report from Lorna and Jessica
- CARLI office is busy preparing and testing for the Voyager 7 upgrade
- CARLI Calendar is full of meetings and forums, and it is the best place to look for upcoming events, as well as the Newsletter
- Tutorial Interest Group conference call scheduled for Tuesday, February 17th, 9-10:30am. Molly Beestrum volunteered to attend the call.
- IUG Report from Stephanie and Lorna
- IUG met on January 16th, 2009
- IUG is going to put out a call for volunteer institutions to do usability testing on the OPAC
- IUG Statistics Task Force Final Report is due out soon
Old Business:
Forum – April 2nd - “Using Social Technologies in Library Instruction”
- LibGuides Panel questions finalized and communicated to panel members
- Social Technologies Glossary
- Google document with terms defined still in progress, all definitions finalized by next conference call (March 4th)
- Forum Registration
- Save the Date will be sent out soon by CARLI office
- Registration announcement will be sent at the end of February.
- Team members must register for the Forum
- Please remind forum speakers and panel members to register as well.
Tutorial Creation Workshops
- Friday, June 5th Workshop confirmed for Eastern Illinois University
- Friday, June 12th Workshop confirmed for Columbia College Chicago

- Google document created to start discussion and suggestions for tutorial creation tools and software
- Scripting
- Story-boarding
- Best Practices
- Screen Capture
- Audio and audio editing
- Podcasting
- Etc.
- Team members will provide examples, suggest open source or for-fee software, outline best practices, and/or determine “experts” to assist with tutorial creation
