Old Business:
Forum "Social Technologies in Information Literacy"
- LibGuides Panel
- The moderator will ask the panel general, universal questions with a set of backup questions if time allows
- The goal is to get the general questions out to the panel ahead of time
- Randi will plan to be the moderator, but Laura will serve as the backup
- Social Technologies Glossary
- The list will be a combination of terminology and specific products with definitions included
- Each team member was assigned some terms to define & provide examples from the list of Social Technologies
- There was a discussion of creating a section on the team's wiki space on the CARLI wiki for further discussion of these technologies among CARLI members after the forum is over
- Forum Registration
- It's still too early to send out registration information
- CARLI webmaster will post the final agenda when registration information is sent out
- Randi will draft a "Save the Date" email that she will send out to the team for approval
- Since we have all of the speakers lined up, Randi will also send a draft of the agenda to be sent to the team with the "Save the Date"
- Naming the Forum
- Up to now we have been calling it Social Technologies in Information Literacy and no one on the team has objected
- If anyone can think of a more creative name for the forum we can use the current title as a subtitle. This will be discussed further through email.
- Randi will plan on giving the welcome, followed by CARLI announcements
- Chair-elect can serve as backup for welcome if one has been chosen by March. If anyone is interested in being chair next year they should start considering it now.
- Goal is to have the forum discussion wrapping up during the February 4th meeting so we can move on to discussion of the Tutorial Creation Workshops
Tutorial Creation Workshop
- Molly has confirmed that Columbia will be available for Tutorial Creation Workshop
- One workshop will be held at Eastern Illinois University on June 5, the other will be held at Columbia College on June 12.
New Business:
Next conference call: February 4th, 10:00 a.m. to noon
Respectfully submitted, Aimee Walker North Central College
