1. Minutes from the August 17th meeting were approved
2. CARLI Report – Jen Masciadrelli
   1. CARLI staff attended a symposium on the future of integrated library systems.
   2. Jen will soon be posting the WRO’s descriptions that Anne recently developed.
3. IUG Report – Carlos Melian
   1. The ICAT forum will be held November 13 at UIS.
   2. The Resource Sharing forum will be held November 14 at NIU.
   3. The new delivery service that will be provided by CARLI starting January 1, 2008 will include daily deliveries to libraries. Libraries with multiple locations will only have one location subsidized by the State Library.
   4. The Resource Sharing Team is also working on standardizing UB loan periods.
   5. The Instruction fall forum will be held November 7 at Heartland Community College with the topic “Best Practices in Instruction”.
   6. The Liaison forum will be held either March 18 or 19 at Illinois Wesleyan.
   7. The Reports forum by IUG has been delayed.
   8. IUG is moving forward with its mentoring program at forums called “Forum Friends”..
   9. We are encouraged to contribute information of interest about our team and meetings for the IUG newsletter.
4. ERMS Demos & Conference Call
   1. Ted will contact Susan Singleton to figure out the next step after the ERMS demos.
   2. Notes from the demos and conference call have been added to the IACQ wiki (wiki.carli.illinois.edu/iacq). Jen also gave a tour of the wiki and added our notes to the public CARLI page. The conference call page of the wiki was relabeled “Quarterly Open Conference Call” for clarification.
5. Complex Publication Pattern Submission Form (not on the agenda)
   1. The form still needs an introduction & disclaimer before an announcement can be sent out to CARLI members.
   2. We discussed including the institution’s name with submitted patterns.
   3. Link to presentation from the open conference call in March.
   4. Jen will work on the clarification of the form.
6. Fall Forum
   1. The forum will be held November 29 at Illinois State University.
   2. Anne suggested we begin the forum with a discussion of why we should cleanup our acquisitions databases and what types of messes we might have to cleanup. This would last approximately 15 minutes.
   3. We went through possible program topics with the following suggestions:
      1. Program 1: Problems list and claiming in Voyager.
      2. Breakout 2: Cancellations leading to a best practices document.
      3. Breakout 3: Complex publication patterns
      4. There was talk of an “other problems” section, possibly as program 2. This could be about inherited problems and how to deal with them.
      5. We all agreed that the “Acq Report HackFest” should be a collaborative breakout session.
