Discussions:
- Spring 2007 Brokering –
- Put Fall and Spring lists together and see which members are not participating in the brokering program.
- Status of Product Proposals –
- None new since the April ERWG conference call
- Video-on-demand proposal has resurfaced
- Currently, staff is reviewing RCLweb with Bowker; Euclid Prime (AMIGOS); Xrefer and Ebrary; GeoscienceWorld (AMIGOS); B-Press; SimplyMap
- FMG is deferred until a later date
- Report from ICOLC –
- June 11 E-book in-person meeting -
- Grainger Engineering Library, room 335
- 6 vendors have confirmed thus far ( Ebrary, netLibrary, MyiLibrary, Thomson Gale, Springer, O’Reilly/Safari (Proquest))
- Outstanding invites from Oxford, Xrefer, Wiley (EBL has declined)
- 30 minutes per vendor;
- Licensing principles discussion
- One-time purchase recommendations; Sage deep backfile –
- Paperwork has begun for the purchase. CARLI has a contract to review. Product and member contribution model will be presented to the CARLI board on May 18.
- Will there be archival rights? One-time purchase with no annual fee but libraries must commit before access will be given.
- New business -
- Those with terms expiring and who wish to continue on the committee can do so by completing the CARLI volunteer form by May 15.
