2.    Old business

  • Continuing proposals: We are trying to reach AMIGOS to talk about the proposals for Project Euclid and GeoRef.  At this point they may just be included in the spring selection system.
  • E-resource web pages – these are coming along.  We hope to have the e-resources contracts page available soon with the others to follow shortly thereafter.
  • Licensing training – ALCTS has indicated that they would be interested in providing the training for CARLI members, based on the curriculum developed several years ago.  But before we ask them to do this it would be helpful to know what the members would like to have included in the training.  To gather this information we would like to send a survey to the collections listserv.  Here are possible questions for the survey.  Please review and comment.
    • Would you or other staff from your library be interested in participating in a CARLI-sponsored training session about licensing electronic resources?
    • If yes, are there specific areas related to licensing ones you would like to have addressed in the training?  Please select your top three choices from the list:
      • Licensing terms
      • Copyright in license agreements
      • Negotiation strategies and skills
      • Legal issues in licensing – when do I involve my legal counsel, what should I worry about
      • Interlibrary loan issues in licenses
      • Team approach to negotiation - product offering analysis and comparison with the license terms
      • Licensed content and institutional repositories

3.    Are there other areas you would like to have included in a training session?

4.    Would you still be interested in a training session if it required a registration fee?
