The only new subscription proposal is for ScholarlyStats, which would allow for more systematic gathering of usage statistics.
Continuing proposals: We are trying to reach AMIGOS to talk about the proposals for Project Euclid and GeoRef. At this point they may just be included in the spring selection system.
2. Old business
- Licensing Principles – the period for comments from the collections listserv ended on 1/14 and several comments were received. As a result what we hope is the final draft is attached for your review. The substantive changes are in green and appear in the following sections: Users - section 2, Use - section 2, Business – section 8, Business - section 9. At this point we would like to discuss providing final approval of the draft in preparation for the Board meeting next week at which time these would be officially adopted by CARLI.
- E-resource web pages – these are coming along. We hope to have the e-resources contracts page available soon with the others to follow shortly thereafter.
- Licensing training – Course outline will be shared when it becomes available.
- One-time purchase ideas – an updated list of possible products is attached. As you will see additional proposals have come in. As we discussed last month we would like to spend time today selecting a short list of products for serious consideration. We will ask for volunteers to create an analysis of each of the products for group review in February. We would like to have a final set of recommendations to be sent to the Board for review and comment at their March meeting.
3. New business: February in person meeting – our conference call is currently scheduled for 2/11 and Chris Sweet has generously offered space at Heartland for our meeting on that date. We need to make sure that this is workable for everyone.
