Charge
The Membership Committee is an ad hoc committee reporting to the CARLI Board of Directors. The committee is charged with the following responsibilities. Note: Items 1 and 2 should be completed as soon as possible, as they have library budget planning implications for FY 2007.
- Developing policy recommendations regarding general CARLI membership criteria and fees.
- Developing policy recommendations (including participation criteria, governance, management and cost implications) for participation in CARLI services that are used by a subset of the CARLI membership, e.g., a shared integrated library system (ILS) or the three digital library products. Note: this task refers to adding new participants to such services, e.g., adding a new library to ILLINET Online beyond the 65 libraries that began using the system under the auspices of ILCSO, implementing digital library products in libraries beyond those same 65 libraries, etc.
- Developing recommendations regarding future CARLI membership policies and procedures. Final report due 6/30/06
