CARLI Logo Production Schedule
June 10, 2005
At the May 23 meeting, the CARLI Board of Directors charged the Public Relations Committee with developing a CARLI logo.
The Public Relations Committee is working with the UIUC Office of Publications and Marketing (OPM), a group that has done design work for ILCSO in the past. The Public Relations Committee, in conjunction with an OPM project team has worked out the following schedule. OPM originally proposed a schedule with a July 1 end date, but the ALA annual conference falls within that timeframe, and a number of those involved in the review process will be at ALA and will be busy with the ILCSO booth and reception, etc., so the PR Committee thought it would be best to modify the schedule a bit.
June 20 – Preliminary design presentations for review;
June 22 – Comments and feedback from CARLI to OPM;
July 1 – Final proof to CARLI;
July 6 – Final feedback from CARLI to OPM;
July 8 – Final logo to CARLI for implementation
The PR Committee also had a question about CARLI Board involvement in the process. Does the Board want to leave the decision up to the PR Committee, or would the Board (or some subset of the Board) like to be involved in the review process? Keep in mind that there are a couple of points in the schedule that require quick turnaround.
